Today I hopped by the Glines website and as usual found he's not changed much. Today he had a picture of a machine gun up there and a caption that said something to the effect of "an over looked weapon of mass distruction" - and a picture of a machine gun, with another caption below that said something to th effect of "killed more people than all of the weapons of mass destruction known to man combined".

Here's the thing. Not a single one of these weapons can kill or harm another person with out someone arming the bomb, spraying the goo, dropping it on the target or pulling the trigger. - When someone is convicted of murder, we throw them in jail - not the gun. The fact is weapons are not to blame, people are. Regardless of what weapon you choose - it's the person using that weapon that kills another person. Infact - it was a person in the first place who made that weapon - guns don't grow on trees, neither does napalm. The concept of personal responsibility is completely lost on someone who would denounce a form of force simply due to it's popularity.

Force is defined as:

The capacity to do work or cause physical change; energy, strength, or active power: the force of an explosion.

Power made operative against resistance; exertion: use force in driving a nail.
The use of physical power or violence to compel or restrain: a confession obtained by force.

Intellectual power or vigor, especially as conveyed in writing or speech.
Moral strength.
A capacity for affecting the mind or behavior; efficacy: the force of logical argumentation.
One that possesses such capacity: the forces of evil.

A body of persons or other resources organized or available for a certain purpose: a large labor force.
A person or group capable of influential action: a retired senator who is still a force in national politics.

Military strength.
The entire military strength, as of a nation. Often used in the plural.
A unit of a nation's military personnel, especially one deployed into combat: Our forces have at last engaged the enemy.
Law. Legal validity.
Physics. A vector quantity that tends to produce an acceleration of a body in the direction of its application.
Baseball. A force play.


In this case the force is the physical superiority one gains in a combative confrontation by being the one with a fire arm. Never mind the fact that you can kill someone with your bare hands easily enough, and that millions of people the world over who each have hostility within them or agression of some kind built up in their minds for one reason or another in the vast majority of cases have arms and legs, hands and feet and in some cases foreheads strong enough to kill the person walking next to them if they suddenly snapped and decided they wanted to cause someone harm. Your arms and legs are just as prevelant a danger if not MORE SO than a gun or weapon of some other kind simply because they can't pass laws saying you can't have them.

Gline has conveinently, as usual, over looked the obvious and just like the dixie chick who claims she's a victim for having an opinion about the war and thus being boycotted, has blamed an external source from them SELF for the problems with the world.

Personal responsbility is what prevents violence, murder, theft, fraud, adultery, malcontent, and just about every other external negative connotation we currently have in life. IF you want a nicer, safer, happier, healthier, kinder, brighter, warmer world to live in there is only ONE WAY TO DO THAT. How? BE NICER SAFER HAPPIER HEALTHER KINDER BRIGHTER AND MORE WARM HEARTED AS A PERSON!!!!!!! STOP BLAMING EVERYONE ELSE FOR YOUR LACK OF CONTENTMENT WITH THE WORLD _ FIX YOUR SELF AND THE WORLD WILL BE FIXED!!!!
